Privacy policy

At Kamelio, we want you to have fun with total peace of mind. This page explains what data is processed and why. We collect the bare minimum.
Data collected
- Session nickname: the nickname you choose to play. It is not tied to an account and is kept only for the duration of the game.
- Anonymous game statistics: number of games, players, rounds, scenery used, duration, with no personal data, to improve the game.
- Audience measurement (analytics): loaded only after your consent (see the Cookies page). IP address anonymized.
An account is optional. You can play Kamelio without ever creating one: in that case, nothing below applies to you.
If you create an account (optional)
- Email address: used only to identify you and to send you your sign-in link. It is never shown to other players, never sold, never used for advertising.
- Reserved nickname: visible to other players, that is the point.
- Account creation date.
No password is ever created or stored: signing in happens through a one-time link sent by email, or through Google. If you use Google, Google passes us your email address; we receive neither your password, nor your contacts, nor anything else.
Two providers are involved, both as processors under the GDPR and both on infrastructure located in the European Union:
- Supabase (Ireland): hosts the account and the profile.
- Resend (Ireland): delivers the sign-in link. It only receives the email address, for as long as it takes to deliver the message.
Kamelio never sells any data, to anyone, ever.
Legal bases
- Running the game: legitimate interest (letting you play).
- Audience measurement: your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).
- Account and reserved nickname: performance of the service you asked for by creating your account. You only create an account if you want to.
Retention periods
- Nickname and game state: deleted at the end of the game / session.
- Anonymous statistics: kept in aggregated form, with no possible identification.
- Audience measurement: according to the retention periods of the tool used (see the Cookies page).
- Account (email, nickname, creation date): kept as long as the account exists. Deleted immediately and permanently when you delete your account.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and port your data.
Without an account, no identifying personal data is stored: these rights are mainly exercised through managing your consent (the “Manage cookies” button).
With an account, you can erase everything yourself, in two clicks, without writing to us: go to My account and use “Delete my account”. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your email address, your nickname and your stats disappear, and your nickname becomes available to someone else. There is no trash bin and no retention delay.
You can also write to us at contact@webxplore.fr, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
